CONTAINERIZED MODULAR GROUT MIXING PLANT
CONTAINERIZED AUTOMATIC PLANT
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The InnoTek Containerized Modular Grout Mixing Plant is capable of batching and injecting low density cellular concrete backfill, maintaining precise control over grout quality at the placement location. This process allows for continuous segments placement in the tunnel while backfilling the annulus from the opposite end. There are significant cost savings when compared with traditional methods; production schedules are more attainable since the efficiency of placement is greatly improved.
OPERATION PHILOSOPHY
The Containerized Modular Grout Mixing Plant is designed to automatically prepare a grout mix component A and transfer it to the grout injection system fitted of the TBM. A separate integrated pump system allows transferring to the grout injection system fitted of the TBM the component B (Sodium Silicate). The quantity of each component is automatically checked by a weighing system built-in the turbo mixer. At the beginning of the cycle the water is charged into the turbo mixer, and then follows the dry/admixture components and the additives. Once the mixture is ready it is transferred to the holding tank, and a new mixture may be prepared into the turbo mixer. From the holding tank the mixture is transferred by double acting piston hydraulic driven pumps to the holding tank of the TBM.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
The Containerized Modular Grout Mixing Plant typically includes the following equipments: n.1 Turbo Mixer: Lodos 30
n.1 Holding Tank: L-4500
n.1 Microprocessor based Integrated Control System suitable to manage manual/automatic operation and manage the recipes
n.3 Transfer Pumps Component A: L-01/200
n.1 Transfer Pump Component B, Elena 80/200
INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM
The Microprocessor based Integrated Control System lets grout mixing operations to become automatic. It is sufficient to set up the percentages of water, cement and other possible elements and then start the process pressing START key. With the control panel it is possible to weight all elements coming into the mixer, to assure a correct time of mixing and to download the ready mixture in the holding tank. Mixed grout which has been just prepared then is pumped via grout injectors. Each pump must supply a specific quantity of grout. Each of these operations can be automatically carried out via the integrated control system. Through it is possible to control up to four grout pumps at the same time. All control operations are carried out either manually or automatically.
